That my friend is not the only method of hypnosis. So why are we talking about hypnosis you make ask. It’s because I believe families facing Power of Sale are being hypnotized.
Sounds strange?
I am sure it does. But you must know that this is the truth. Everyday there are honest people all over our nation being hypnotized, being made to believe facts that are not true. And are being made to act in ways that are not completely rational.
The corporate lions out there are tricking you into believing that losing your homes to the power of sale is your ultimate fate. Are you being naive to this corporate trickery?
I m here to tell you that just because people had to go through a recent rough patch or two does not mean that the punishment is to lose the most prized possession of yours. No one deserves to pay such a price for their misfortunes

I had an interesting call the other day from a Mortgage Broker seeking Power of Sale Escape for one of his clients…
Turns out that he put them into a private second a year ago, and these clients have come up for renewal of said second.
Unfortunately their beacon score had not improved enough to make a strong enough application for renewal. Despite the fact that they require 90% ltv, which is difficult to find unless your credit, location and home are pristine. You see, the vast majority of private lenders are not at all cognizant of credit repair, so hearing the story above is fairly common.
This happens more than you know. The vast majority of private lenders leave your clients credit restoration to them.
Many of the clients we see have not had the financial education required to move forward with their own credit repair process.

As a Foreclosure Escape Artist and admittedly a marketing hobbyist, I routinely scan google looking for competition to what we do. Competition is good for the marketplace, it keeps everyone on their toes and prices in check, no question. Personally I have found that seeking out my competition has offered opportunities to partner and potentially help more people escape Power of Sale. Searches have shown me that there is more Real Estate agents peddling “Save money-buy a Power of Sale Home”, than there is people able to STOP your Power of Sale, keep you in your home, while preserving equity and reducing or eliminating debt.
Incidentally, I am a Real Estate Agent, however my focus initially in Real Estate was Foreclosure Escape. That is to say helping families stay in their home, not helping them out of their home. In reality there is a big misconception between Foreclosure and Power of Sale. Although the term does not apply to Ontario, I use Foreclosure Escape Artist, because it is more catchy than Power of Sale Escape Artist (which I also own). The truth is there is no real great deal on buying a Power of Sale Property in Canada. Foreclosure is another story, that is for another blog post, as I am now getting off topic….
Being a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Agent, each time a new client comes my way I am faced with the same question, do I recommend they sell their home or do we find a suitable private lender to help them out? What are the best interests of the clients?
Sometimes what my partner and I think it best, our clients do not, such is the case when we recommend the selling of the home. You see, some families are so upside down in their financing, the best thing is a clean slate and moving out of the home. Being licensed in both real estate and mortgages, it puts a fair bit of fiscal responsibility on Terry and myself when consulting families on their refinancing issues. Many times when a client is facing a default the first knee jerk reaction is to call a Realtor for a listing presentation just to know one’s options. Of course the agent makes nothing if the client does not list. I would not say in all cases, but in some, we could have definitely helped that client stay in their home. I hear countless stories after the fact.
So although to sell or not is sometimes a question, the real concern is time. What do I mean? Time is of the essence when saving a family from Power of Sale, period! The most dangerous client is the one that thinks they still have options. I will say that again, the most DANGEROUS client is the one that thinks they still have options. Often Terry and I consult a client, then they go off the grid for a month, then come back when the Sheriff has locked them out of their home and they are living in a hotel. This sort of time constraint is not only stressful on the situation, but heartbreaking.
My advice, do not waste time talking to people who do not know and have not been in your shoes. Seek out people who are professionals in their field and can offer you education and empower you to make your own decision.
